Abstract

By investigating plant species, plant application and greening areas of four regional parks in Chaoyang District of Beijing, we found that Honglingjin Park is the most rich in plant species; number of plant species that belong to family Rosaceae in the four regional parks is more than number of those in other families; Ginkgo biloba and 18 other plant species are applied in all four parks. The ratio of number of tree species to that of shrubs in the four parks ranges from 1∶0.43 to 1∶0.79, and the ratio of number of evergreen to deciduous tree species varies from 1∶2 to 1∶4; Salix matsudana ‘Pendula’ and Pinus tabulaeformis, among all plant species, are most frequently used in Honglingjin Park, while in Side Park, Nanhu Park and Lidu Park, Koelreuteria paniculata, S. matsudana ‘Pendula’, P. tabulaeformis and Prunus ceraifera ‘Pissardii’ are the most, respectively.
