On the Trend of Western Feminist Theory

There emerged three waves in the development of Western Feminism.The first focused on women's basic rights such as on politics,education and job offer; In the second wave,there existed Free Feminism,Socialist Feminism and Radical Feminism,which reached different conclusion on the origin,characteristic and elimination of Sexism; In the third period,with influence of Postmodenist discourse,Feminist theory shows more concern on both of diversity of female experience and necessity of the construction of female discourse.The essay also forecasts the fundamental trend of Western Feminism in the new millennium.
