Abstract
The contents of heavy metals,Pb,Cd,Hg,As,Cr,Cu and Zn,in soil of vegetable farmlands of Qingdao City were investigated and analyzed. Then the enviromental quality was evaluated by the method of single pollution index combined with the comprehensive pollution index. The results showed that the comprehensive pollution index of the soil samples from different investigated points changed following the order of LaixiJimoPingdu and was less than 0.7,so the soil belonged to the clean level and was suitable for vegetable cultivation. But the Cd content in four soil samples from Laixi and Jimo exceeded the standard level and decreased with the increase of sampling depth, which showed the Cd pollution was mostly centralized in the upper soil(0~20 cm).
