Abstract
Objective: To study the difference of Fraxinus mandschurica Rupr. and Fraxinus rhynchophylla Hance. Meth- od: TLC was performed to identify Fraxinus mandschurica Rupr and Fraxinus rhynchophylla Hance. RP-HPLC analysis was employed by using Agilent C18 column (150mm×4.6mm,5 m), acetonitrile 0.1% phosphoric acid, and the detec- tion wavelength was 334nm. Results: Aesculetin from Fraxinus mandschurica Rupr is 1.1 times higher than that from Fra- xinus rhynchophylla Hance, but aesculin from Fraxinus mandschurica Rupr is as same as 10% of that from Fraxinus rhynch- ophylla Hance. Conclusion: Fraxinus mandschurica Rupr. can't be used as substitute for Fraxinus rhynchophylla Hance.
