Abstract
To obtain the methods for embryo collection and the optimal dose of the reagents for superovulation to be used in Wistar rats at different developmental stages, eight to nine-week-old Wistar rats were superovulated with 10 IU,20 IU and 30 IU of pregnant mare serum gonadotropin-human chorionic gonadotropin(PMSG-HCG),respectively.The results showed that the number of two-cell embryos obtained from the three groups were 12.1±4.6,23.1±10.2 and 24.9±8.2 respectively,in which the superovulation with 30 IU was considered to be the best one.The numbers of morula obtained from the three groups were 10.3±5.0,23.7±17.2 and 17.2±5.9 respectively,in which the superovulation with 20 IU was considered to be the best one.
