Developing and Utilizing the Leaf of Rheum Palmatum L.

Abstract

In this paper,the medical ingredients in the leaf ofRheum palmatum L. were analyzed by qualitative method,kjeldahl method and HPLC were used to determine the content of the protein and amino acids.From the results of the experiment,there were various kinds of medical ingredients in the leaf of Rheum palmatum L.It had 7 kinds of necessary amino acids except tryptohan;the consist of protein in the leaf and petiole were respectively as 0.5712% and 1.896%,as it contained in dry weight.Based on this, the authors discussed the developing and utilizing the leaf of Rheum palmatum L.k
