Abstract
Objective To evaluate the diagnostic and treatment procedures for pheochromocytoma. Methods The clinical date of 80 cases underwent surgical excision of pheochromocytoma from Dec.1970 to Dec.2003 were reviewed and studied. Results In 72 cases90%the pheochromocytoma were benign and in the other 8 the tumor was malignant10%Recurrance of the pheochromocytoma occurred in 4 with increased tendency of malignancy. Conclusions Appropriateiy prepared before surgery and surgical management was the only means for cure and preoperative preparation was extremely important.
