Abstract
A total of 198 avirulent strains of Ralstonia solanacearum were obtained from the stem of tomato plants affected by this pathogen. In vitro antagonistic assay by spraying indicated that 39 of the strains significantly inhibited the growth of R. solanacearum Bs 01~05 on PSA media. In a disease-control experiment with tomato cultivar Hezuo 903 carried out in greenhouse, two isolates (100 and 134) gave satisfactory results of disease control, the disease severity decreasing by 43% and 47%, respectively.
