On the Enlightenment of Romer's Market Socialism

Abstract

After the crisis in the Soviet Union and the East Europe,people are doubtful of the future of socialism.Romer put forward his market socialism in order to defend socialism.He explicated the market socialism from aspects of market regulation,state intervention,personal income,business operation,etc.Compared with capitalism,market socialism has the advantages in realizing equality of opportunity,reducing public hazard,improving corporate efficiency,and promoting social democracy.In spite of certain limitations the market socialism offers theoretical references to socialist development.
