On the Village Associations in the Occupied Regions of Hebei in the Early Days of the 1940s

The association was produced under specific historical conditions of China. The association in the enemy- occupied area of Hebei Province became a puppet patchwork ofmass self- defense organizationand also an important form of rural village cooperative organizationconstruction after the Pacific War broke out in 1941. Actually,they were puppet organizations that Japanese puppet regime carefully established to deal with the people's Anti- Japanese war behind the enemy lines led by the CPC. The CPC,guided by the thought of the Anti- Japanese National United Front,finally won over the support of the association fruitfully. The discussion on the establishing and main activities of the associations in the enemy- occupied area of Hebei Province,and the exploration of the struggle of the CPC in winning over the associations will help to further the development on the research of the Japanese puppet regime and the Anti- Japanese activities in the enemy- occupied area in North China.
