Abstract

The infected periwinkle plants were obtained by inoculating with the mycoplasma-like organism associated with paulownia witches broom from paulownia by dodder, and some of them were treated with kinetin(0.05mg/ml)for 20 days. The biochemical eff(?) of the kinetin on the infected plants were reported. The preliminary results revealed that, aft(?) the treatemnt, a great recovery on the morphological structures of the chioroplasts were ob(?) and the concentrations of the chlorophyll and carotenoid were increased by 6.8 timecs and 7.3 times respectively compared with that of the untreated periwinkle. The PWB-MLO show(?) teriorating trend. At the same time, kinetin also had a positive effect on the synthesis of (?) nucleic acids.
