Analysis of Open Cancellous Bone Graft at One Stage in Treatment of Infectious Bone Fracture Nonunion(Report of 24 cases)

Objective:To dertermine the feasibility of open cancellous bone graft at one stage to treat infectious bone fracture nonunion. Methods: Radical debridement,external fixation,bone graft and rigidly aseptic change of dressing were performed. Intravenously sensitive antibiotics were administered.The average course of administration was 11 days.Results:All 24 cases were followed up. The duration of followed up was 18 months(range 12～41 months).The lesion was covered with granulation tissue at 7 weeks,and scars were healed at 10 weeks,the external fixation was removed after 10 months(range 6～18 months).Conclusion:Open cancellous bone graft at one stage to treat infectious bone fracture nonunion and bone lesion may undergo debridement,fixation and bone graft at one time,this technique is simple and effective.
