Abstract

Chinese ancient novels have reached maturity in the Tang Dynasty and Five Dynasties.As a display,it is to begin to be mixed with poems in a large amount in the novels at this period.The poems in the novels of Tang Dynasty and Five Dynasties have characteristics of masterly narrative,popularization,more quatrains.Looking from artistic functions,these poems have plot factor functions of portraying personages and institutional framework,and non-plot factor functions of expressing one's feeling and publishing discuss.
