Abstract
The effects of feeding rate, fluidizing gas flow rate, spout gas flow rate and pressure on the residence time of coal particles in the range of 0.63~1.60 mm were investigated in an experimental spout fluidized bed. The experimental results showed that the particle residence time was constant in the spout bed with different gas flow rate, but in the spout fluidized bed, the particle residence time changed obviously when fluidizing gas or spout gas flow rate was changed. The particle residence time also increased when pressure was increased.
