Competitive Strength of Construction in Shanxi Province Based on the Principal Component Analysis

It is significant for the government to identify regional competitiveness in construction industry development plan,and the regional construction industry competitive analysis and evaluation work is an effective way to understand it.Establishing evaluation index system and the choice of evaluation model are important part of construction competitive analysis.With five years' statistical data,this study selects the relevant indicators for the construction competition,and finally compares and analyzes the construction competitiveness of Shanxi Province and Jiangsu,Shandong and other six provinces and cities with the objective weight to indicators by principal component analysis.Analysis of all the main components illustrate the performance of Shanxi Province.The results show that level of competitiveness of the construction industry in Shanxi Province in selected representatives of the seven provinces in the downstream,but there are good prospects for development.
