Abstract
This paper concentrates on power distribution network. Based on comparing and analyzing the performances of some common communication modes in distribution network, a general distributed opening system based on GPRS communication network design is proposed. In this scheme, the constructing network method and the implementing method of GPRS mobile communication network in distribution automation system are discussed. Furthermore, the transmission of real-time FTU data using the GPRS network is also analyzed. In the situation of applying the local protection mode of distribution automation based on voltage-time typed feeder terminal, using GPRS network to transmit the FTU data is feasible and economical.
