Abstract

The colloidal crystal templating approach for preparing three-dimensional ordered macroporous material (3DOM) is introduced. The fabricating of monodispersed colloidal spheres, arranging of colloidal crystal templating, infiltrating of precursor and removing of template are discussed in this paper. The application of 3DOM materials in catalysis carrier, filtration, separation, photonic crystals and optical sensors are briefly synthesized. The major problems need to be solved are also pointed out.
