Abstract
OBJECTIVE To screen the transdermal enhancers optimally through the optimal selections of the single and combined transdermal enhancers.METHODS The proportion of transdermal penetration enhancers was by optimized the Single Factor Method and the Orthogonal Design. And then the transdermal enhancers of the compound-catechu antidiarrheal film was selected by utilizing the appearance quality of films and the cumulative penetration of catechin as the detection index in the experiment of percutaneous absorption in vitro.RESULTS All of the three single transdermal enhancers had a negative effect on the appearance quality, and with the application of each single transdermal enhancer, the cumulative penetration of catechin was less than that with the application of any of the combined transdermal enhancers.Furthermore, among the combined transdermal enhancers, according to the impact on the enhancing transdermal effect of the compound-catechu antidiarrheal film, the factor was in the order of laurocapram eugenol menthol. And the combined transdermal enhancer, with the combination of A3B2C1(the proportion of laurocapram, eugeno and menthol respectively: 4%,2%,1%),had an eligible effect on the appearance quality and a prominent impact on enhancing the permeation of catechin.CONCLUSION When laurocapram, eugenol and menthol,in the proportion of 4%∶2%∶1%,added in the film as the combined transdermal enhancer, the appearance quality of the film is the best and the combined transdermal enhancer has the most distinct impact on enhancing the permeation of catechin.
