Abstract
A new type of composite flocculants PCDAC using cross-linked quaternary ammoniums salt of chitosan ( PCD ) and poly-aluminium chloride ( PAC ) as raw materials was synthesized,and applied to wastewater's flocculation and decolorization. The effects of different compounding ratio,dosage,pH value on the properties of flocculation and decolorization were researched. The results showed that the composite flocculant was able to promote respective flocculation and decolorization performance each other,make turbidity removal and decolorization to be united. Under the optimal conditions of pH value 6,200 mg/L for PCDAC,the ratio of turbidity removal and decolorization reached 98.2% and 96.1% respectively.
