Abstract

A new method was established to determine the ascorbic acid in orange based on oxidation of the reduction type Vc by active carbon. The contents of ascorbic acid in orange was obtained by determination of the different OD value at 245nm.The method was simple, quick and accurate. The results was the same as the method of 2,6-dichlorophenolindophenol titration.
