Abstract

Objective To investigate the relation between heart rate variability and patients with coronary heart disease, to understand the role of heart rate variability in the evaluation of coronary disease and its clinical significance. Methods To analyse the 24 hours dynamic electrocardiogram in 96 patients with coronary heart disease and 40 normal control group, observed the changes of heart rate variability in time domain, frequency domain and 24 hour dynamic ECG.Results There was no significant differences between the two groups in the HR,R-R interval(P0.05). In the CHD group, the time domain indexes(SDNN, SDANN, SDNNI,rMSSD, PNN50) were significantly lower than the control group(P0.05), the frequency domain indexes(ULF、VLF、LF、HF、LF/HF) were also lower than the normal control group(P0.05).Conclusion Heart rate variability in patients with coronary heart disease is significantly decreased, suggesting the heart rate variability analysis has certain clinical value in early diagnosis and prevention of coronary heart disease.
