An Insight into Zi Gong and Confucius Relationship

The relationship between Zi Gong and Confucius is sorted out in detail in this paper.From a student of many shortcomings,disfavoured by Confucius,Zi Gong became an extraordinary talent,with moral nobility,favoured and entrusted by Confucius.In this process,Confucian idea of instruction according to one's conditions played a vital role.Zi Gong gradually overcame his internal problems of all sorts,while Confucius incessantly enriched and optimized his theory and practice in the course of interaction between teaching and learning.Their relationship was elevated to the plane of teacher and student,friends and relatives.These experiences are worth our learning.
