The Reform and Development of Adult Education in the Age of Intellectual Economy

Starting with the analysis on the immense influence and impact thrown on the adult higher education by the information technology revolution in the Age of Intellectual Economy, 1 put forward the macro-scopical management and adjustment measures of the adult higher education under the new condition. I pointed out that in order to meet the requirement of the development of the intellectual economy and the whole-life education, and in order to serve for the local economy and area economy, the contemporary developmental direction and mode of the adult higher education, which is one of the three basic higher education forms in China, is practical higher education.
