Abstract
After discussing the disadvantages and advantages of the debugging and emulation of traditional ARM emulators,a new design of emulator for ARM is proposed which is based on USB interface,Actel's SoPC device and Angel debug protocol.The hardware circuit is described in detail.The base communication is implemented through USB interface of μClinux and JTAG agreement converter is done through programmable logic.The third-part software and the developer can interact with the emulator for in-system programming and debug.This ARM emulator over USB can improve efficiently the performance for the debug system.
