Abstract
The demand for a hardware-in-the-loop IR simulation system has increased with the growth of IR imaging system, the simulation system generates realistic infrared environment in which the IR system operates, and is significant in the development, integration and testing of infrared sensor systems. The principle of the hardware-in-the-loop IR simulation is introduced and the dynamic IR scene building and projecting techniques are reviewed. Current development and the trend of the IR scene simulation technique are also analyzed.
