Abstract
Based on conventional observation data,a process of heavy rainfall on May 27th,2006 in Guangxi was analyzed. It was found that the heavy rainfall occurred in the weather system that the upper trough and shear work with surface cold front. The sub-tropical meridional circulation ascending branch and the meridional circulation of polar front jet stream play important role for the storm area formation. The coupling interaction between boundary southerly jet,low-level westerly jet and upper-level jet was the important reason for heavy rain.
