Synthesis,Crystal Structure and Spectral Characterization of the Complex [Zn(C_6H_5COCHCOCF_3)_2(C_5H_4NOH)]

The complex [Zn(C6H5COCHCOCF3)2(C5H4NOH)] was synthesized based on the reaction of zinc(Ⅱ) acetate,benzoyltrifluoroacetone and 3-hydroxypyridine in methanol medium.The structure of the mixed complex was confirmed by IR,1H NMR,elemental analysis and thermal analysis.The crystal structure of the mixed complex was determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction.The crystal belongs to triclinic system with space group P1 and crystallographic data of the complex are: a=1.035 3(3) nm,b=1.166 7(3) nm,c=1.228 8(4) nm,α=61.964(4)°,β=77.999(5)°,γ=69.327(4)°,V=1.224 1(6) nm3;Dc=1.603 g·cm-3;Z=2;F(000)=596;μ=1.086 mm-1.Zinc(Ⅱ) atom is coordinated with four O atoms which come from two different benzoyltrifluoroacetone ions and one N atom from the 3-hydroxypyridine molecule.CCDC: 625500.
