Abstract

Bakhtin has made a historical and systematic research on the relation between the satire and the folk culture.The figurativeness denial becomes the core of his view of satire.A good grasp of it reveals how he managed to make breakthrough in predecessor's satire theory.Also,it reveals the intrinsic uniformity between his view of satire,the carnival theory and the dialogic theory.
