A Brief Analysis of the Governing Policies to"Sheng Miao"in La'er Mountains in the Ming and Qing Dynasties

In the Ming and Qing Dynasties,most Miao people were ruled by the central dynasty,and they obeyed the corvee of the country.We named themShu Miao,while,the others were calledSheng Miao.Miao Jiangis the place whereSheng Miaolived,which concluded La'er Mountains from the west of Hunan and the northeast of Guizhou,along the valley of Qingshuijiang River and Duliujiang River.Miao people in La'er Mountains,in particular,were more aggressive and difficult to control.Therefore,theMiao Jiangin La'er Mountains was the main military field in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
