Treatment of patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy by balance acupuncture combined with traditional acupuncture needle

Objective To observe the effect of patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy treated by balance acupuncture combined with traditional acupuncture needle.Methods 80 cases of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy were divided into two groups.Control group received traditional acupuncture needle.Treatment group received balance acupuncture combined with traditional acupuncture needle.The therapeutic course was ten days in two groups.The changes of symptoms,signs and function before and after treatment were evaluated by CASCS.The clinical effect was analyzed.Results CASCS score after treatment was obviously increased as compared with that before treatment(P0.01),and CASCS score in treatment group was higher than that in control group(P0.05).The total effective rate in treatment group(95.24%) was superior to that in control group(73.68%,P0.05).Conclusion Balance acupuncture combined with traditional acupuncture needle can visibly relieve pain,improve clinical symptoms and has a definite effect.
