Abstract
Shi Jie's novels reveal the natural state of human life through the human desire, which shows that the writer observes human life carefully and understands it deeply. The writer pays her attention to the people living at the bottom of the society and describes the primitive tribes who are one component of the big society yet placed at the edge. The characteristic of her novels is their strong cultural flavor. The successful application 0of symbolism makes her novels mystic.
