Abstract
[Objective] To investigate the effect of γ-knife at different doses on apoptosis of pancreatic cancer cells.[Methods] The cell apoptosis rates were detected by direct immunofluorescence flow cytometer after different time following irradiation, and the morphology of apoptosis of irradiated cells as observed by transmission electron microscopy.[Results] After 24h of radiation, the cell apoptosis rates at 2Gy,10Gy,15Gy,20Gy,30Gy and 50Gy were 2.75%,11.5%,27.1%,18.2%,13.7% and 3% respectively;under 15Gy irridation, the apoptosis rate as increasing with the increase of dose and over 15 Gy decreasing.By 15 Gy dose,,the cell apoptosis rates at 12h,24h,36h and 48h were 14.7%,27.1%,11% and 5.2%respectively.In 24h the apoptosis rate was increasing with the prolongation of time after radiation, but decreasing after 24h.[Conclusion] The γ-knife can induce pancreate cancer cells to apoptosis by dose dependence, and the apoptosis peak time is 24 h after radiation.
