Abstract

The composition and characteristics of waste electrical and electronic equipment(WEEE) were introduced. The dismantling technologies of WEEE,and the processes of disposal or recycling of metals and plastics from WEEE were reviewed in detail. It is pointed out that the combination of automatically or semi-automatically mechanical dismantling technologies for recovering reusable electronic components, and the physical methods of recovering metals from WEEE was usually adopted in factories for processing WEEE.
