Abstract
In this paper, visual teaching of rectangular waveguide is realized by using HFSS simulation. The field distributions with amplitude and vector forms of several low-order modes are graphically represented. The cutoff frequency of the low-order modes in rectangular waveguide is analyzed with simulation, and the current distribution on the inner wall of the waveguide operating at the dominant mode is also simulated. In addition, some other related physical quantities are graphically represented or calculated employing the powerful data processing function of Ansoft HFSS.A qualified teaching is achieved by means of visualizing the Abstract concepts.
