Research progress of root canal retreatment

Abstract

Root canal therapy is the most effective treatment for endodontics and periapical disease. With the development and application of the new dental technology and material,the success rates for root canal treatment rise continually,however,failure cases still occur. Therefore,root canal retreatment becomes an effective way to increase the conservative rate of the teeth. In this review,we summarized the factors of endodontic failure and the common methods for root canal treatment.
