Abstract

[Objective]The paper aimed to study the influence of different density degrees on Moso bamboo forest.[Method]The experiment Moso bamboo forest compartments of serious cutting and productive density degrees under similar sites,managing levels and forest qualities were set upand plots investigation had been finished.[Result]The average density,age structure,average DBH,bamboo uniformity and evenness of two experimental Moso bamboo forest types were different observably.Average age,DBH,height,height under first living-branch, pole weight,weight of branches and leaves of productive density degree of the Moso bamboo forest were increased by 48.27%, 19.12%,18.30%,26.35%,45.31%,19.56%respectively in comparison with the serious cutting density degree of the Moso bamboo forest. There had obvious differences between the two density degrees in culm distribution of diameter,height and age classes.[Conclusion]The different densities degrees had a significant effect on the quality iof the Moso bamboo forest.The forest properties under productive density degree were better than that under serious cutting density degree,and the density was proposed to popularize widely in Moso bamboo economic forest management in the area.
