Abstract

Mathematical models of multi-elements, i.e. wave, tidal flow, salinity, suspended sediment and seabed erosion and siltation, are set up. On the basis of model verification and calibration by field data, wave field, tidal flow field, salinity field, suspended sediment field and seabed erosion and deposition field of Oujiang Estuary, where large-scale reclamation project of Wenzhou Shoal will occur, are numerically simulated. According to the results,of which the influences of reclamation project on the flood discharge of Oujiang River,on the splitting ratio of the north branch and south branch of Oujiang Estuary,on the aquatic product breeding industry of the Yueqing Bay,and on the harbors and navigation channels at Oujiang Estuary are demonstrated. The result of study proves that the reclamation project of Wenzhou Shoal is technically feasible.
