Abstract
Based on design acceleration response spectrum, the energy spectrum for different intensities and sites is proposed. Energy method is used to analyze maximum displacement and shear coefficient of isolation layer. Earthquake ground motions, which are consistent with design acceleration response spectrum, are used to analyze seismically isolated structure, and the time-history analysis results are compared with energy method results. It is shown that, the simple calculative results by the presented energy spectrum are basically unanimous to the time-history analysis results, and the simplified calculative response curve covers most of the results of time history analysis. Finally, the value range of the related parameters in isolation design is approximately estimated.
