Abstract

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of lung biopsy under electronic bronchoscope in peripheral lung cancer. Methods There were 53 patents with suspected peripheral lung cancer by chest X-ray and CT, which couldn′t be observed by bronchoscopy set. Lung biopsy was performed under electronic bronchoscopy set to skeptical focus. Results Among the 53 patients, 37 cases (69.8%) were identified as peripheral lung cancer, including 23 cases of adenocarcinoma, 10 cases of small cell undiferentiated carcinoma. 7 cases were identified as optimum, including 3 cases of nonspecific inflammation and 4 cases of tuberculosis. There were also 9 cases being false negative. The total final diagnosis rate was 83.0%. Conclusion Lung biopsy of under electronic bronchoscope is a better method, which can significantly improve positive rate of peripheral lung cancer. It is safe and feasible with few complications.
