Folk Sports from a Cultural Perspective—— A Study of Dali Bai Ethnic Traditional Sports

Adopting methods such as literature analysis, field investigation and expert interviews and a cultural perspective, this paper holds that Dali Bai traditional sports have regional, ethnic and religious characteristics and that Bai traditional sports can meet individual needs and enhance national cohesion. However, due to the impact of modern commodity economy, Bai traditional sports in the modern business world are simplified and commercialized and spiritual values of folk sports are disappearing. Only by increasing efforts to support Bai ethnic traditional sports and popularizing the sports culture can they be better inherited.
