Benign and Malignant Tumors of the Nasal Cavity and the Paranasal Sinuses CT Differential Diagnosis

Objective: Analysis of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses CT manifestations of benign and malignant tumors and features,discussion between the differential diagnosis of CT.Method: Retrospective analysis of our hospital from 2003 to 2007 with pathologically confirmed 35 cases of nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses CT manifestations of benign and malignant,summing up the characteristics of a variety of cancer imaging.Result: 35 cases of nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses tumors,25 cases of benign,10 cases of malignant.Benign tumors showed expansive growth,clear edge,rare bone destruction,does not infringe on extraluminal soft tissue;were invasive and malignant growth,The edge of confusion,with bone destruction and invasion of soft tissue extra-cavity.CT scan not only showed that the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses scope cancer,but also a clear organizational structure in their vicinity,such as whether the involvement.Conclusion: CT of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses cancer is uncertain,And to determine the exact scope of violations of cancer,for radical mastectomy and radiation field determine the image data to provide reliable,but we can not confirm their histological type.
