Abstract

In addition to the common GIS spatial analysis functions,ArcGIS Geoprocessing also supports the establishment of complex geoprocessing models to complete aforehand geographical processing tasks. In this research, the ArcGIS Geoprocessing technology is used to realize the modeling of a drought remote sensing monitoring system based on the current drought remote sensing monitoring models. As an example, the drought data in Chongqing in 2006 is processed, and the results are consistent with the actual drought conditions of that year. Thus,a drought remote sensing monitoring system is realized based on the ArcGIS Geoprocessing and plug-in GIS secondary development of technology.Compared with the traditional manual distribution processing, this model has greatly improved and enhanced the automation of model selection, data conversion, data processing and product production. The main function of the system is to quickly obtain the results of the spatial distribution of drought space through automatic processing of the remote sensing images and generate related products for decision-making departments.
