Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical application of resection of femur or bibia condyle and functional reconstitution of knee joint. Methods From Feb.1992 to Apr.2001,20 cases of tumor of femur or tibia condyle was locally resected eradicatively, the lower limb was retained and at the meantime functions of knee joint were reconstituted using the method of turnover of knee patella along with blood vessel petiole. Results According to follow-up,for 3.9 years this treatment is satisfactory.Knee functions are mostly retained and the movement angle of knee joint is 0~83°.Conclusions After resection of bone tumor operation of turnover of knee patella along with blood vessal peticle to reconsituted knee functions will mostly retained knee functions. It is useful in clinic.
