Empirical Analysis on Regional Economic and Investment Disparities in China

Abstract

The paper analyzes the changes of regional economic and investment disparities.Empirical study shows that regional investment disparity is generally larger than that of regional economy.The trends of both disparities are extremely similar from 1980s to mid and late 1990,with seemingly departure in later period.This is mainly because the influence of investment efficiency on regional economy is improving.Regional economic disparity depends on the interaction of regional disparity of investment quantity and quality.
