Expression of CD23~+/CD19~+ cell in peripheral blood of rheumatoid arthritis patients

Abstract

Objective To study the significance of CD19 + and CD23 +/CD19 + cell in peripheral blood of rheumatoid arthritis(RA) patients. Methods The percentage of CD19 + and CD23 +/CD19 + were detected with flow cytometry in 20 RA and 20 healthy controls.Association of ESR,CRP and its expression were analyzed. Results The prevalence of CD19 + and CD23 +/CD19 + cell in peripheral blood of RA patients were significantly higher than that in normal controls,(10.236 ± 2.212)% vs(6.870 ± 1.052)% and(5.134 ± 1.069)% vs(2.100 ± 0.652)%(P 0.05 or 0.01).Moreover,the expression of CD23 +/CD19 + cell but not CD19 + cells was positive correlated with the laboratory parameters of ESR and CRP. Conclusion The higher expressions of CD19 + and CD23 +/CD19 +cell were detected in the peripheral blood of RA patients.The CD23 +/CD19 + cell expression may have some value in monitoring the disease activity in RA patients.
