Abstract

Obiective To explore the diagnostic value of serum PCT and CRP in patients with community acquired pneumonia(CAP),and provide theoretical reference for diagnosis and treatment of CAP.Methods The serum PCT and CRP level of 80 cases of normal healthy individuals, and 80 patients with CAP detected. The PCT level was determined by Brahms PCT-Q method, the CRP level was determined by immunity-turbidity method. Results The serum PCT and CRP levels of the CAP group were higher than the control group, compared the difference was significant(P0.05).The diagnostic sensitivity of PCT and CRP was respectively 86.3% and 83.8%,compared the difference was no significant(P0.05).The specificity of PCT was 97.5%,the specificity of CRP was 83.8%,compared the difference was significant(P0.05).Conclusions The serum PCT and CRP have diagnostic value for the CAP,especially the level of PCT has important diagnostic value for the CAP,and is worthy of clinical application.
