Abstract

Pulse compression(PC) is one of the most important technology of radar signal processing. The article first introduces the methods of LFM pulse compression and sideband suppression, then presents the simulation results, and finally analyses the effect of Doppler shifting on results, the RMS and the transform of signal magnitude and bandwidth after pulse compression.Simulation indicates that pulse compression can increase the target detection range while retaining good resolution when the radar transmission power is limited.
