Abstract
In construction of data center,I/O throughput and power consumption are two important aspects that need to be considered.Flash provides high density and low power.One of the efficient methods to improve I/O throughput and lower power consumption is to adopt Flash to build storage system based on two-level cache.This two-tired cache architecture uses Flash as cache between buffer cache and disks.In this paper,we first give a brief overview of Flash memory and Flash file systems.We then discuss three application modes of Flash-based storage and their characteristics.After that,we introduce schedule policy of two-level cache.Finally,we conclude this paper and discuss the future work.
