Abstract
In this paper the effects of solution treatment time on microstructure, mechanical properties, and corrosion resistant property of 321 austenitic stainless steel had been studied at the solution temperature 1050 ℃. The results showed that the grain of hot rolled 321 austenitic stainless steel was smaller, high hardness, high tensile strength. With the solution treatment time increasing, the grain was gradually increased, but litter change in grain size. When the solution treatment time was 15 min,it got a few larger grains, and the hardness was decreased, the tensile strength litter changed. When the solution treatment time was 4 to 8 min,for the intergranular corrosion of the solution treatment samples in sulfuric acid-copper sulfate was qualified. So the best solution process of hot rolled stainless steel of 4. 9 mm thickness was 1050 ℃ × 4 min.
