A Study on the Regional Models and Development of Specialized Small Towns in the Region along the Yangtze River in Jiangsu Province

The author analyses the structure and features of the regional models of the specialized small towns in the region along the Yangtze River, and further discusses their construction and development. Some proposals for the future development are put forward: innovation of operational mechanism and concepts; promotion of integration and connection of the economic essential elements by means of principles of market economy; optimization of the structure of industry and property; multi-channel of raising capital and the strengthening ofthe government' s planning, instruction, service and administration.
